Junior High (7th – 8th grade)
Junior high is filled with the joys and challenges of change as children transition and grow into teenagers. Compass offers students the support they need as they learn about identity, relationships, and what it looks like to make Jesus the center of their life during this time in their lives. This vibrant ministry offers Life Groups, service projects, summer camp and other special events for your 7th and 8th grader.
Life Groups are small groups of students meeting to connect while discussing the Bible together. Life Groups meet Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. at The Bridge and are one of the best ways for students to get to know other students in our junior high ministry.
We believe service is one of the best ways a person can learn about God’s love for others. Therefore, our junior high ministry will find opportunities to serve throughout the year and during the summer.
Each year we attend a UCYC summer camp in Prescott, and would love for your student to join. Summer camp is an opportunity for students to get away from the challenges of normal life and have some fun. Students will also have an opportunity to deepen their relationship with Jesus or even make a decision to follow Him for the first time. Summer camp continues to be a powerful experience for students every year.
Compass offers multiple other amazing events throughout the year through the Bridge Student Center. From sports competitions to concerts, your student will never be bored with so many opportunities for fun and connection.
Questions about Student Ministry?
Child safety is very important at Compass. Every Sunday, children receive a name tag with relevant info and an identification number. This number will be matched to a parent/guardian’s identification number during pick up. All volunteers are screened through an interview and background check.
