When do you pray? How often do you pray? What do you pray for? These are some of the things I think about when talking about prayer life.
The Lord does not say we will not have tough times in our lives. He said expect them, they will come. Today we find many of us are facing difficult financial problems. The cost of living has increased and a major one is rent. Rent increases after COVID have affected many people because they have been major in most instances. When these tough times come, whether it is rent, medical bills, or just living expenses, it puts an extreme amount of stress on us.
The Lord tells He is there for us, all we need to do is talk to Him and ask for His guidance.
So, do you remember to talk to Him about what you are going through? Do you ask for His guidance on how to get through the problem? And, if He does not answer in your timeframe, do you keep praying?
We seem to try to fix things ourselves until we are so deep that we finally turn to our Lord for His help. I know for my wife and I, in our early married life, our relationship with Christ was not totally there, but the seed had been planted. As we grew, so did our closeness to Christ and our reliance on Him in prayer. Prayer is a regular part of our lives now and we rely on it for guidance in our daily life as well as our financial life.
In James 1:6 it says to ask with faith and do not doubt. So you must have Christian faith that our Lord will answer your prayer, don’t let doubt slip in. Our prayers may not always get answered with just what we thought we needed or asked for, but when we look at things later we see He provided much more.
Takeaway
Remember, we will have trouble, we need to turn to our Lord and have faith that He will answer. Be persistent and do not give up, keep praying.

Thanks, true words of experience.
Thank you Jesus
Amen! Thank you for Sharing. The Lord is so faithful and wonderful. He meets all our needs not our greeds. Difficult times has taught me to stay under His wings of love. He’s faithful, He’s perfectly amazing.
Thank you Dale for such a good reminder and testimony.
Amen brother!
Thanks for the reminder. It seems sometimes trouble just comes in bunches.
God Bless You
Yep! I think “on-going consistency” is the hardest for me. I do great for a while then gradually I slip back into “praying through the day. I’m realizing that ends up being like a visit rather than a “significant & dedicated” prayer time. Woe is me for I am often undone!
Amen. I always waited to seek God last when I was at the end of my rope. Now I pray at the start of my rope and I’ve found it makes it much easier. In fact the rope just kind of disappears or turns into a swing. God never disappoints. NEVER.
