As a church, we want you to know that we place a high value on child safety. All of our nursery workers have been interviewed and received a background check. We also implement policies focused on child safety. Compass has a child check-in process where every child receives a sticker every weekend. Parents are required to show their identification number to retrieve their child. We are always thinking of new ways to offer our youngest children the most safe and fun experience possible.
We understand that visiting the nursery for the first time can be overwhelming for some children. We just want to let you know that this is normal and we’re ready to help your child transition. If your child is struggling to settle down, we’ll contact you, but you are always welcome to sneak back and see how your child is doing. We have found that most children will quickly discover how much they love playing and learning in the nursery.
If you have any questions about our nursery, feel free to ask any of our Compass Kids volunteers. We know dropping off newborns and young children into a new environment can sometimes be nerve-wracking for a new parent. We are ready to support you and do everything possible to care for your child during our weekend services. If there is anything we can do to help your child during the service, just let us know.
