Life Groups are small groups of students meeting to connect while discussing the Bible together. Students talk about how to apply what they’re learning from the weekly teaching as they support one another through prayer and check-ins throughout the week. Life Groups are part of our weekly gatherings on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15 p.m. at The Bridge. These groups are the best ways for students to make friends, learn from adult leaders and find a place to belong in our junior high ministry.
We encourage students to own their faith by serving on the weekends at Compass. Our students attend and serve during our weekend services at 9:00 and 11:00am. We also offer service projects for Compass Youth and Life Groups throughout the year.
Each year we attend summer camp and would love for your student to go with us! Camp is an opportunity for students to get away from the challenges of normal life and have some fun while they deepen their relationship with Jesus. For many, this is the first time they will make a decision to follow Him. We pray camp grows their faith beyond one week and continues to impact the way they live at home, school and wherever they go.
Throughout the year we do our best to respect the family calendar. So most of our events happen during our typical Wednesday gatherings. We do this to help students have the opportunity to invite new friends and build on their own relationships in Compass Youth. We also have weekly opportunities for our students to hang out with friends at The Bridge rec center.
