I’m amazed by the amount of detail that God gives for the priest’s clothing. I also wonder if all this attention to detail stressed out Aaron and his sons. It’s quite an honor to have your family be chosen for the priesthood of the tabernacle but it also comes with great responsibility and unique dangers too.
We will get into this more in Leviticus, but this really shows the specific detail God gives priests about sacrifices and reverence when honoring Him. He doesn’t have to require this, but ensuring His people had the appropriate reverence was incredibly important. We could take a lesson from this and treat God with more reverence than we do most times.
