God is on a mission to remove evil from His good world, along with all of its corrosive effects. However, He wants to do it in a way that does not involve removing humans. In this video on sacrifice and atonement, we trace the theme of God’s “covering” over human evil through animal sacrifices that ultimately point to Jesus and his death and resurrection.

The section on the festivals was interesting. It’s such a wise idea that God would have these days set aside so that the people would remember Him or something great He did such as the Passover. We get distracted and things fade from our memories so often that one can see why this is such a necessary idea.
I know that we have things like Christmas and Easter, but those are so much a part of the mainstream culture that we can lose sight of what they are really about. I’m curious, has anyone had anything they do in their families that helps them focus on God and what He has done in their lives?
