It’s a small group of people becoming more like Jesus while doing life together.
Groups typically meet either every week or every other week. Groups will make memories as they have fun together, find a way to serve in the community, and help each other take the next steps in their faith. Typical meetings could include an ice breaker question or a little time to catch up from the week, prayer time, and discussing the curriculum the group has chosen.
God didn’t design us to do life alone. He called us to live in authentic community – one with relationships that help us grow in our faith. These types of relationships help us push through hard seasons of life and make the celebrations of life even more rich.
Everyone experiences a rough season of life sooner or later. Care Groups help to address a specific part of that season, provide tools to get out of that season, and offer support every step of the way.
Couples Groups provide community with other couples who are wanting to grow in their faith as well.
Sometimes there are things you’d rather just talk about with the guys/gals. Men’s and Women’s Groups allow you to do that while taking steps forward in your faith.
The church is made up of people from all ages, stages, and demographics. Mixed Groups are open to those single, married, young and old – all are welcome to join!
Activity Groups provide an easy onboard into community by focusing on a specific activity to provide the platform for connection to happen. (Example: Pickleball)
Interested in growing in a specific area of your life and want to meet others who are growing in that area too? See if there’s a Common Interest Group about the topic you’re passionate about.
Every group handles where the kids go while the adults meet a little differently. Some groups have you bring the kids to the same location where the adults meet, but they play upstairs or in another room. Some have a babysitter for all the kids, whereas others have a connection to a babysitter who’s available to come to someone’s house. If you select the “Kids Options” filter in the Group Finder, and click “More Info” on a group, it will describe how that specific group takes care of the kids.
That’s okay! We know it sometimes takes a bit for you to get a good read on if a group is right for you. But, if you’ve tried a group a few times and it still doesn’t seem like the right one, no worries. Just let your group leader know, and use the Group Finder to find another one to try.
It depends on your group! Most stick to the school semester schedule even if they don’t have kids and take a break during the summer and the holidays. Others, like Care Groups, only meet for a season while they cover the specific topic of the group. Feel free to direct your schedule questions to your Group Leader.
We’d love to help you find a group near you. Click the “Location” filter on the Group Finder and either search for a group based off your geographical region or type in your address to find a group meeting near you.
