Reading the story of Samson as an adult is completely different than as a child.
As a child, you hear that he is a hero with superhero strength. He fights the bad guys and kills a lion with his bare hands. Then, the villain woman comes and steals his strength away. He dies a hero fighting the bad guys.
As an adult, you see that he was selfish and foolish. He was violent, impulsive, foolish… He fell in love with the wrong women and didn’t follow God. He gives away his secrets for sex and dies in a violent murder/suicide act.
